Bombay HUB is a unique collaborative work space for people with ideas and passion for a radically better world to work out of, meet, connect, learn and grow. HUB members comprise of social entrepreneurs, change makers, and professionals from a range of backgrounds open to sharing their skills with fellow HUB members. We are looking for a host to engage current members, attract new members through a target led business development strategy and manage member & space finances.
Bombay HUB sparks innovation by providing the following services and activities:
o HUB Space offers shared work stations, hot desks, a meeting room, workshop space, wireless internet, printing facilities, copying, faxing, scanning and a library.
o HUB Connectorhosts events, talks, exhibitions, and provides online platforms to network and collaborate in order to strengthen the HUB community and allow them to draw from each other’s skills.
o HUB Incubationbuilds skills through a range of trainings, workshops, discussions, consultancies and exposure visits.Bombay HUB houses all the tools, resources and connections needed to cultivate an idea with a social impact, launch a socially relevant project and operate a social business.

Roles and responsibilities
Your overall role will be todeliver the HUB experience in a way that creates a culture of collaboration, innovation and change. Within this, your specific responsibilities are as follows: (Please note that some of these responsibilities will be carried out with other team members).
Attracting new HUB members
o Introduce HUB services to potential members that walk into the space
o Convert potential members to registered paying members while working with set targets
o Bring in new members relevant for the community through an outreach program
o Maintain databases for potential members
o Liaise with the events team to use HUB events for attracting members
o Oversee pricing, membership policy and design and implement promotions and loyalty programmes that help retaining members and attracting new onesEngaging the existing community of HUB Members
o Keep in tune with members’ and their ideas/projects’ needs
o Connect members with each other, to the HUB pool of resource persons/organisations and to non-member visitors, as required
o Organise regular members’ meet
o Liaise with the communications team to manage the online community via website, newsletter, mailing list and online groups
o Welcome and orient new members into the space. Manage member relationships.Maintaining the space
o Getting workshop or meeting rooms ready as per the bookings
o Liaise with Administrator to ensure adequate stock of required supplies
o Assist as and when needed for HUB events
o Keep the spaces clean, fresh, inspiring and energeticFinancial
o Responsible for all HUB member related finances
o Liaise with Administrator to prepare invoices for members and non-members
o Liaise with Accountant to prepare regular HUB financial reportsMonitoring
o Manage systems/MIS related to space management and members’ & their work’s growth
o Give inputs into the impact indicators, assessment tools and procedures
o Assess the HUB services as per the agreed impact assessment procedures
o Compile a report on delivery of HUB services and its impact
o Help achieve a standardized process for the management of the HUBOther
o Give inputs into the overall strategy and design of HUB services
o Support the Director in fundraising efforts as requiredQualifications
We are looking for the following set of skills, experience and qualities:
o A shared enthusiasm for our purpose of creating spaces that spark collaboration and innovation for change
o At least two years of cumulative work experience of which at least a year is with a non-profit or social enterprise.
o At least 1 year of cumulative work experience in customer engagement/business development/resource generation. People with experience in the commercial sector and looking for a break in the not-only-for-profit sector are welcome to apply.
o Excellent people skills – ability to connect with people from different backgrounds including start ups, grass root level organisations, independent professionals, corporate bodies and media
o Competent offline and online communication skills
o An ability to be up to date with the social sector
o Exceptional attention to detail
o An ability to take initiative in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment. Self-starters with an entrepreneurial attitude will be the most suitable candidates for this position.
o An ability to work well in high pressure situations
o Basic financial skills such as invoicing and handling payments
o Computer literate – using the web, basic IT skills including MS Office and excel
