Vote on the idea that will reach 10^100 people

After some delay, Google’s Project 10 to the 100 (which we about a year ago!) finally has finalists up, and we all get to vote on the idea we like best.

Thousands of people from more than 170 countries submitted more than 150,000 (or around 10^5.2) ideas, from general investment suggestions to specific implementation proposals. As we reviewed these submissions, we started noticing lots of similar ideas related to certain broad topics, and decided that combining the best aspects of these individual proposals would produce the most innovative approaches to solving some very pressing problems.

Ideas include everything from a real time natural crisis tracking system, helping social entrepreneurs drive change, organizing the world’s urban data, innovating public transport, promoting health monitoring, and more.  Up to 5 ideas will be funded, and then organizations will get to bid on implementing them.  Voting is open til October 8, so read through the ideas and choose your favorite!

I found it interesting that none of the ideas focused on some of the standard issues we see social enterprises addressing – such as water or livelihood.
