From Pro Poor:
Oxfam seeks outstanding leaders and experienced change managers to build and lead the newly integrated Oxfam India. The organisation will be drawn from six existing organisations working in India, Oxfam India, Oxfam GB, Oxfam Novib, Oxfam Australia, Oxfam Hong Kong and Intermon Oxfam (Spain) who have been operating in India for as long as sixty years as separate entities. Their current fundraising, program and advocacy work will be integrated into a single Oxfam India, governed by an Indian Board.
India is playing an increasingly important role on the global stage and at the same time has major internal challenges. We seek someone of national stature who will have the capacity to work across broad issues while also ensuring effective programs that have a real impact on the lives of people living in poverty.
The persons we seek will be able to inspire and motivate a wide range of stakeholders and will have the skills to manage a complex change management process. The new organisation will have national reach with presence in most major cities, and a combined budget of US20 million plus, with a staff of over 80. It will bring together new and existing programs with over 200 partners and allies, and a strong national and international advocacy capacity. A rapidly growing donor base for fundraising and campaigning is complementing existing funding commitments by Oxfam International affiliates.
