The Beyond Sport Awards are open for another 80 days. There are 12 categories for the Beyond Sport Awards 2010 covering the entire sporting spectrum of health, social inclusion, corporate and social responsibility, and philanthropy.
Beyond Sport is a global organisation that promotes, develops and funds the use of sport to create positive social change across the world. The UK-based social enterprise is responsible for the creation, development and logistical delivery of the Beyond Sport online community, Awards and Summit.
This is the second year of the awards. In 2009, India-based Goal won the award for Best Project by a Sport Federation or Governing Body. Another project called Saving Lives Through Dance, which is run out of Kolkata, won the Sport for Health Award last year.
The winners of the six Beyond Sport Community Awards this year will receive a minimum of £10,000 funding each and a package of substantial business support to enable them to move forward and become fully sustainable in the future.
Full details of the application process are available on the Beyond Sport website.
