Greetings from the Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) at IIM Ahmedabad. As part of our efforts in promoting social entrepreneurship in India, we have partnered with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) to organize a workshop aimed at social enterprises that use information and communications technology as either a platform for their distribution or as an enabler of their product or service to the base of the pyramid (BoP). The workshop is titled “Bringing Products and Services to the BoP – ICT for Development” and will be held on the 21st of July 2012 at CIIE, IIM Ahmedabad.

The main objectives of the workshop are:

- to facilitate peer-to-peer learning between social enterprises drawing on expertise from experienced mentors and facilitators and,

- to connect such social enterprises with potential investors.
